Acceptable Use Policy

The rules for using Leadhand fairly, lawfully and safely. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) sets out what you can and cannot do when you use Leadhand. It forms part of our Terms of Service. In this policy, Leadhand, we, us and our mean Leadhand Pty Ltd (ABN 37 699 652 072), and you means the customer and anyone using the service through your account.

Use the service lawfully

You must not use Leadhand to:

  • break any law, regulation or court order;
  • store, send or promote material that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, deceptive or that infringes someone else's rights;
  • send unlawful marketing or spam, or breach the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) or the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth);
  • impersonate someone else or misrepresent your connection with a person or business; or
  • handle anyone's personal information in a way that breaks the law.

Do not abuse or interfere with the platform

You must not:

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts, or our systems or networks;
  • probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the service except as expressly permitted by us in writing;
  • introduce malware, or interfere with, overload or disrupt the service or the experience of other users;
  • scrape, harvest or systematically extract data from the service except through features we provide for that purpose, such as your own data export;
  • reverse engineer, copy or build a competing product from the service, except to the extent the law does not allow us to restrict that; or
  • resell, sublicense or otherwise commercialise the service without our written agreement.

Your data and your clients' data

Leadhand lets you store information about your own clients. You are responsible for that information. By uploading it, you warrant that:

  • you have the right to collect, use and upload the data, including any personal information about your clients;
  • you have any consents and notifications required under the Privacy Act and the Australian Privacy Principles for handling that information in Leadhand, including its storage and processing by our overseas service providers as described in our Privacy Policy; and
  • your collection and use of the data does not breach any law or any obligation you owe to your clients.

You indemnify Leadhand against claims, losses and costs we reasonably incur because you uploaded or used data without the right or consent to do so, or otherwise breached this policy. This does not apply to the extent the loss was caused by us, and nothing in this policy affects rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

Account security and responsibility

Keep your login details secure and make sure the people you give access to follow this policy. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@leadhand.com.au if you become aware of any unauthorised use or security problem.

Reporting misuse

If you see content or activity on Leadhand that breaches this policy, please report it to support@leadhand.com.au so we can look into it.

What happens if you breach this policy

If you breach this policy, we may remove offending content, suspend or limit your account, or terminate it, as set out in our Terms of Service. Where it is reasonable and the breach is not serious, we will try to contact you first and give you a chance to fix it. We may act immediately where the breach is serious, unlawful, or puts the service or other users at risk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on our website is the current one, and the date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
