Refund and Cancellation Policy

How cancellation works, what you keep paying for, and your refund rights under Australian law.

Last updated 30 June 2026

This policy explains how you can cancel your Leadhand subscription, what happens when you do, and when you may be entitled to a refund. It forms part of our Terms of Service and should be read with them. In this policy, Leadhand, we, us and our mean Leadhand Pty Ltd (ABN 37 699 652 072).

How to cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings, or by emailing us at support@leadhand.com.au. There is no cancellation fee and you do not need to give a reason.

What happens when you cancel

  • Your subscription stops renewing. You keep access to your paid plan until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and then your account moves to a free or closed state.
  • We do not charge you again after you cancel, unless you start a new subscription.
  • You should export any data you want to keep before your access ends. After cancellation we keep your data available for export for at least 30 days (or at least 14 days if we terminate for serious breach), as set out in the data export section of our Terms of Service. We will tell you the export window and the scheduled deletion date.

Refunds for amounts already paid

Subscriptions are billed in advance for the period ahead. Because you keep full access for the rest of a period you have already paid for, we generally do not refund the unused part of a current period when you simply choose to cancel. Your access continues to the end of that period.

This is a general position, not a blanket no-refund rule. We will always consider a fair refund where the circumstances warrant it, such as a billing error or a charge you did not authorise. If we have charged you in error, we will refund the incorrect amount.

Annual plans, where offered

Where an annual plan is offered and you are on one, if you cancel partway through the year your access continues until the end of the paid year. We do not automatically refund the remaining months, except where required by law or where we agree otherwise. If you believe your situation justifies a partial refund, contact us and we will consider it.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Our services come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded.

If there is a major failure with the service, you are entitled to a remedy under the ACL. Depending on the circumstances, that may include cancelling and receiving a refund for the unused part of your subscription, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. For a problem that is not a major failure, you are entitled to have it fixed within a reasonable time, and if we cannot or do not, you may be entitled to a refund.

These rights apply regardless of anything else in this policy. Nothing here is intended to deny, exclude or limit any refund or other remedy you are entitled to under the ACL.

How to ask for a refund

To request a refund or raise a problem, email us at support@leadhand.com.au with your account details and what happened. We aim to respond within a few business days. Approved refunds are made to your original payment method through our payment provider, Stripe, and the time it takes to appear depends on your bank or card issuer.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on our website is the current one, and the date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
